phase one

phase one

A Poem by Tristessa

You've scratched the surface,
you can't stop now
Go ahead, climb on in,
try not to f**k anything up
Take your little bag in there with you
Fix me, go ahead, do it.
I dare you.
Same old scenario.
You enter, you scream, you leave.
That scratch you made,
I don't bother with bandages anymore
I leave the same one open for everyone,
hoping for a different response.
Knowing that when I get it,
I'll be the one to scream and run.
For the same reason I don't bother with people,
I'd rather spend my time staring at the sun.
Even if it's turning green and ready to explode,
it holds a promise, the next flight, I'm on it.
