we fly, we love, we lose, we fall...
and the candle at midnight is snuffed out.
this reminds me of Poe..
the heart keeps beating more slowly until it just stops.
like a telltale tale.

A nice flowing poem filled with feeling. It is unclear if the 'Keeper' is a person or indeed a God? Whatever the writer/protagonist seems happy to suffer some difficulties and yet await the 'Keeper's return. Not sure about using 'dreams' twice in the opening lines?
Though it is not mentioned specifically, the message I get here is one of disappointment, maybe even betrayal. I believe the one who was characterized as an eagle somehow let the speaker down, creating another bird, a pierced raven. Though the speaker awaits a return, things don't look good. I may be way off base, but there is too much pain here for a happy ending.
"Though life's lessons, etched in pain
Are a given price, of love, lust and lies"
This is certainly so deep, cause that's how life appears to unfold itself before us. We commit certain actions in the name of love, lust and lies which sometimes have hurtful consequences and bring forth regrets and lessons.
This poem is about Hope. The poet describes their exhaustion with constant rambling and scurrying through life events in the lines from "as oceans of tears ebb and rise" till "Hobbling the sands of a lost paradise".
The poet kind of gives themself a reason to look up at the sky, and sees hope in a flock of flying birds through the highs. This poem highlights our desperation to escape from the mundane, tiresome reality into a surreal world of dreams and hope. Here, this tendency is celebrated, and quite justly so.

My pleasure. Magnificent creatures they are.

Yes and very deserving of the awe they inspire and the poetry written for them.
Well, you certainly have plenty of keepers! Again, it's the imagery in this poem that displays your strength; many creative lines and images flow for the reader. Many believe that animals are a reflection of our spirits, particularly those of indigenous cultures, and perhaps the eagle is a reflection of your spirit. I enjoyed the read, Sabrina.
