I was asked today...

"How Are Things With Me... "

 

Less than they were,

less than I wished,

too quiet -

not desperate,

not right but not wrong,

a touch lonely -

a touch crowded.

I wondered...

and listened -

but neither

about nor to ...me.

 

...not very numb at all.
