"You Have Love Within You - To Share..."

"You Have Love Within You - To Share..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Sunday thoughts

"

"You have love within you - to share..."

There is love

and there is

...you...

there is - me

and then the we's

- each an us

sharing I's,

and looks that are just...

love

being shared with any who sees.

I know,

because I DO watch, see

and look ...and breathe.

There IS Love

within

and fingers touch and spread

the sparkles light from eye-to-eye

within-the-glass flows-

to-heart-to-sigh

to-day and night dreams

that might last life-times' hopes

beyond a slight soft smile curving lips

to eyes gentle sight -

as with each night's fall

brings ceilings and walls

to moonlit fantasies of cloudscapes

star-dropped, backscattered visions

of rainbowed clarity and heart-full tightenings

where words hold sway over minds needing held

by more than mere dreams' fingertips.

There is Love

within

that reaches

and longs with its own needs and passion

to touch and hold and share LIFE

and all the days of tomorrows

...to fill our bittersweet with

     nows

that draw and drive,

grasp and squeeze TIGHT

that  fullness   brought and fraught with-

after-wishes and fear of loss...

that fullness of the fire within caresses

to the pure heat of ice's touch.

There is Love

within

and reflected through

our eyes...

as we gaze

to the glass

through our lives.

For now we see through a glass, darkly.. ..

Not sure why, but your words brought this verse to mind ..

We settle for so much less than dreams we hold within..

Just a touch of love .. gives a faint heart, a reason to reach and be..

Softly caresses ....... lovely

What words could do this justice? What words could ever make this shine or radiate more than it does? None...truly, just...I have no words! xx

This poem replaces rhyme and meter with eloquent free verse word play. Your use of words in this poem express the connectivity of all things driven by inner states of being. What everything in existence possesses above all else is connectivity. Love is just a high level of connectivity without which the human race could not have come into being. Every cat, dog, mouse, and cow has a level of necessary bonding. Each of us altogether become all. All specifics possess a global relationship. Trees build forests. Cells build colonies. Colonies build species. Species build eco-systems.

You have written on the subject which is often dealt with sentimentally or woolily. BUT you have done it fantastically. I loved this write. I felt it was really real ... not too much imagery to deal with, and a lovely flow.

Nah! The last two lines are too abrupt, I would have preferred something more lingering!
a person could see and feel love anytime, anywhere when she/he could feel and recognize the love coming from within.

love is like a smile.. it multiplies when given it away... I really like this one.. but then I AM biased..
