So many WANT exciting... so few KNOW what it is...

"Exciting..."

Is exciting - wanting more

knowing less

touching

being touched

-thinking of touching or

just what?

Is it - new

or Old - with the Cap intended!

Is it finally finding

a real smile - inside

that leaks out on its own?

Is it the colors 

of the rainbow,

the flecks within eyes,

the sunshine caressing your skin,

the tastes of tomorrows

you only dreamed of before?

Is exciting having

a tomorrow afterall?

A time or experience

you can have and share,

a reason to share at all?

You excite me you know -

careful, I bite.

When someone says "I love You" .. THAT'S exciting .. Especially if I'm not expecting it ..

Not much left to get excited over these days .. except waking up in the morning, I guess.
And sometimes that's actually a let down.

Just me.

An interesting and thoughtful read.
Many people flit in and out, thinking the initial chemistry is the exciting part... sad, because when it is really about to get exciting is when people get scared and run... :)

You know, I never thought about this before ! What a great poem - giving me reason to actually think about what I want and why I want it ! What is "exciting" to me? Well I think I agree with your stanza :
