I read the linked piece by author KWP and afterward thought of looking into an old (rediscovered from an attic) - saved cardboard box full of bits and reminiscences and how the mind reflects back on "other" moments.  

"Paper Dragons..."

Some things make perfect sense 

...now 

- that didn't then;

and others have power -

such POWER they pause me,

take me away,

bring me ...here -

where the ice burns hard and

so intent...

and I'm left looking into ...being me.

I don't know how to cry

for should haves

...anymore.
