"Through The Looking Glass..."

its not silent - sitting here...
the thoughts run and run.
...the fingers can sit frozen -
but it isn't silent.

How do I say
what is and isn't -
where tomorrow will be
where i ...might - be.

Take a breath
it's sunrise, another

it's sunset.  Yesterday,
it rained and today tears fell.

and it's a world - out here
a place where people are
i breathe... and pause
...and it isn't silent...
here.

I do like your poetry, Chris.
There is something g about it. The general feeling that one takes away from it. An calm strum transferred through the words.
This piece is a simpler one and yet just as effective.
Dunno. We find many pieces of literature we like and enjoy from many different Authors. Occasionally we come across someone who speaks to us through their work. This I find in yours.

Wow. This is deep. And i think its true, complete silence is very very rare..
Our own thoughts are so loud..that even when we're alone..its like we carry a world with us..
