You Found Me

Originally meant to be a story, You Found Me is a poem written in blank verse (pretty sure that's the name) about a lost girl who is found.

You found me.

I was lost, broken; afraid.

 My wings were bound by the hopes of all those

 who dream a dream that will never come true.

 When I cried and struggled with eyes closed,

forgotten in the land of nightmares,

 you brought me back.

 A kiss. Faith. Hope. Truth. Warmth. Love.

 My wings repaired. I flew away.

 The trapped bird who longed for the sky was given her greatest wish.
