Silent Voice

Written leading up to hospitalization a few years ago...

Inside my heart there is a voice;

That sings of such sorrow

The angels start to weep.

My wings break softly

And I curl up closer to my chest.

“No one can hear me, no one can see me”.

That tells of such pain

My soul dies slowly

And now I am but an empty shell.
