The Dream

I forgot I wrote this poem for my fiancee for his birthday. I never gave it to him XD silly me

A dream of your image plays in my mind

The kind of dream that extends through time

 It’s a dream of you holding my hand

It’s a dream of us crossing the land

It’s a dream of your kiss reaching my heart

It’s a dream of a light extinguishing the dark

It’s the kind of dream that makes us smile

It’s a dream of a thousand miles

It’s the dream that we should dream

Because together nothing’s too extreme

It’s a dream of you sleeping near

It’s a dream of me holding you dear

It’s a dream where we walk in the same direction

A dream where we don’t look for perfection

But rather a dream where we are content
with all the moments together we have spent

It’s a dream of us and how we could be

It’s the kind of dream we like to dream

The kind of dream where we are free
