If I had loved you then

This is a poem a wrote a very long time ago to a person I broke up with.

If I had known you way back when,

I might have loved you even then,

But oh what a difference there would of been if instead of now, I'd loved you then.

Our love might have burned with a brighter flame,

We'd have loved and been lost in a world of fun and now our young love would be over and done but meeting each other in gold autumn haze has brought deeper meaning to the last golden days.
