Invisible Branches

I thought

I Could

stop myself

there

in mid-air

throw the parachute

let it catch

an invisible branch

to suspend me

from further

plummeting...

But there’s

no such thing

as invisible branches

although I feel

I may have been hit hard by one

on the way down
