Sing Me to Sleep

A poem about God's comforting peace amidst the pressures of life.

Come, Lord, come,

Sing me to sleep. 

Take my soul, 

It is Yours to keep.

Wash away my pain,

With the sweetness of Your voice.

Take away my troubles,

And all of life's noise.

Calm me with Your presence,

As I toss and turn tonight.

Refresh me in my slumber,

So I may rise at morning's light.

this reads like a prayer...it reminds me of the one that goes "now i lay me down to sleep..."

but this one gives more peace...the other can be a little scary, especially to kids lol

I like this, it flows really well. We all feel this from time to time and just want some comfort so we can sleep and/or think on good things. We also just want a break from life at times when it gets to being to much.
