HOW COULD YOU BE A MOTHER?A Poem by Annie SIt's like your mind and love is washed in cement. You make other people's life around you feel like hell Don't take it the wrong way, it's no compliment Anyone would wish to have a family like yours What's more precious to you is money and this world Like it's going to collapse within itself. I thought you were her mother Working day in and day out and no heart to heart with your daughter It makes me feel like i'm on the tip of the knife, leaning dangerously to one area of destruction to the next . She's calling you,''Mommy! Mommy!.. I'm scared.'' to tuck her into bed I don't want to help her because you're there Stop! messing around and get up from that windsor chair And help her say the Lord's prayer.
