Purposely Ignorant

Purposely Ignorant

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire
"

..You don't know what you allow yourself to do...until it is a bit too late..

"

I have fallen

And I cannot get up.

The memories calling

Are tearing me apart.

We creat

So that we may destroy.

Perhaps through sadness

But then again, joy.

Oh, how ignorant we have become

How little we allow ourselves to know.

You cannot undo what hasn't been done

So why do we insist on not letting go?

You ask an interesting question I often ask myself...
Letting go is usually the most difficult part.
I like your use of strike through. I rarely experiment with that also, but find myself working too hard to be effective.
