R.I.P

R.I.P

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire
"

Do you fight, or do you follow, Do you choke, or do you swallow...

"

Six months, head first

Into turmoil,

Life must have been cursed.

You left without seeing,

What it was that you were truly leaving.

Bleeding meadow in a foggy night's mist

Silent stars in the blackened abyss.

When my mind sees this it floats adrift

Praying you knew of such a luminous gift.

After night it seems so bliss

And touched is my soul, from Heaven's kiss.

Ages pass, or rather days - and still there is gray

Walking through fields...wonder, I may.

I long to blame time

For your selfish crime.

But I can't bring myself to

Because it doesn't matter if I did,

- I have a feeling, we'd still lose you...

Tears flood my face,

Nearly drowning myself in this place.

I fell to the ground,

my limbs went weak

Deafened is all sound,

[ your lips do not move to speak ... ]

I can hardly breathe,

But that will never compare

To the moment you did leave,

Now . . . now you're just, there . . .

Inhale air,

And exhale death . . .

It just isn't fair,

Why did you have to draw your last breath . . .

Uncle Craig, - god we miss you....I had so many questions,

I absolutely fell inlove with this. It's so.. I dont know, for me personally it was so emotional. The feeling that without their voice all is silent and any noise flies over your head, it is not them you hear. I am so sorry for your loss, I felt the pain through your writing.

Ages pass - or rather, days

I loved this line. Time seems to pass so slowly. I liked this piece.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you've channeled your painful thoughts onto paper instead of bottling them inside yourself until the point of explosion.

I long to blame time

For your selfish crime.

This was very sad. It is always sad to lose someone you love. But where there is love and love is true, that which seems lost is only illusion. Love lives forever if you refuse to let it die and in that love, your uncle lives. You see, God is love and all live in God and can never die there. You will meet again some day. I know it is sad but hold on to your love and memories. Blessings of peace and love.
