R.I.PA Poem by Annebelle AshireDo you fight, or do you follow, Do you choke, or do you swallow...Six months, head first Into turmoil, Life must have been cursed. You left without seeing, What it was that you were truly leaving.
Bleeding meadow in a foggy night's mist Silent stars in the blackened abyss. When my mind sees this it floats adrift Praying you knew of such a luminous gift.
After night it seems so bliss And touched is my soul, from Heaven's kiss. Ages pass, or rather days - and still there is gray Walking through fields...wonder, I may.
I long to blame time For your selfish crime. But I can't bring myself to Because it doesn't matter if I did,
- I have a feeling, we'd still lose you...
Tears flood my face, Nearly drowning myself in this place. I fell to the ground, my limbs went weak Deafened is all sound, [ your lips do not move to speak ... ]
I can hardly breathe, But that will never compare To the moment you did leave, Now . . . now you're just, there . . .
Inhale air, And exhale death . . . It just isn't fair, Why did you have to draw your last breath . . . © 2008 Annebelle AshireAuthor's Note
