“The Hush Between the Clocks”

A Poem by J
"

A gentle, reflective poem capturing the quiet beauty of early morning — that delicate moment when time seems to pause, light softly touches the world, and the day begins to awaken in stillness and gra

"

In the hush between the clocks,
where time forgets to tick,
a single thread of sunlight slips
through a window, small and quick.

It lands upon an old oak floor,
where shadows stretch and yawn,
and paints a golden, trembling line
across the break of dawn.

A coffee cup, still half-asleep,
breathes wisps of silver steam,
while dust motes waltz in quiet swirls
like dancers in a dream.

Outside, the world begins to stir,
a bird tries out its song,
the morning hums in softened chords
that pull the day along.

And in this fragile, fleeting hush,
before the rush and roar,
the world is just a held breath wide,
a moment, nothing more.
