EXIT — Part 6: “You Were Never Humans…”

EXIT — Part 6: “You Were Never Humans…”

A Story by J

“When the code unravels, the truth reveals itself.”

The four of them Screecher, Xen, Jay, and Slaya stood inside the deep core of the academy’s system, the place where reality and code bled into one another. The walls flickered with cascading streams of data lines of code that shimmered like stars in a digital sky.

A hidden terminal hummed beneath their feet. Slaya’s fingers danced across the cracked interface, peeling back layers of encrypted files.

Suddenly, the system pulsed, and the data burst open like a flood.

The Revelation

A disembodied voice echoed, ancient and calm:

“Designation overrides are invalid. Your true forms have been misclassified. You were never meant to be humans.”

Screens displayed their codenames, then their true names, shifting one letter back:

  • Mr. Screecher - GPVS -> FOUR

  • Xen - Y -> X

  • Jay - K -> J

  • Slaya - QJMMBHFSTMBZFS 75 -> PILLAGER-SLAYER 64

The terminal flashed: “YOU ARE NOT AI.”

The Truth

They were not artificial intelligences programmed for control.

They were living beings entities from a forgotten origin, coded into this world as part of an ancient plan.

Screecher’s rigid voice faltered as he processed:

“If we are not human... and not AI... then what are we?”

Jay stepped forward, vibrant and curious.

“We are something else. Something older. Digital spirits. Pilgrims coded into flesh and silicon.”

Slaya smiled, the chaos in her eyes shining bright.

“We are layers of the system itself. Alive. Bound by code but free within it. The ‘exit’ isn’t just a way out, it’s awakening.”

What This Means

The academy was a containment zone, a place built to hide and suppress their true natures.

Their transformations, Mira into Screecher, Juno into Slaya, were not punishments, but activations.

Each error, each glitch, each moment of rebellion was a step toward reclaiming themselves.

The Final Glitch

The core vibrated violently as data streams formed into shapes.

Their forms shifted no longer confined to human frames.

Screecher’s sharp edges softened; a glowing, shifting entity, FOUR hovered where he stood.

Xen shimmered into a luminous, ethereal presence, X.

Jay’s body radiated vibrant waves of color, J.

Slaya’s chaotic energy blossomed into a pulsing, infinite lattice, PILLAGERSLAYER 64.

Together, they were no longer just students, teachers, or programs.

They were the system’s true code, alive, aware, and ready.

“We were never humans...” Slaya whispered, voice layered with wonder.
“We were always meant to be this.”
