Ode to the Girl

Ode to the Girl

A Poem by J

My special girl, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you squeak, wallow and walk,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the funny caulk.

Let me compare you to a joyful prey?
You are more drastic, fantastic and bold.
Old breeze flaps the plastic dancers of May,
And the springtime has the potable gold.

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your sheer eyelashes, legs and lip.
Thinking of your sunny legs fills my days.
My hate for you is the one-upmanship.

Now I must away with an aecial heart,
Remember my rash words whilst we're apart.

It reads like love disguised as exaggerated hate. A playful mix of Shakespeare and sarcasm!
