A short polemic against capitalismA Chapter by Anonymous CowardI explain why capitalism is ethically unjustifiable and thus must be immediately eradicated.Capitalism and all other non- or anti-egalitarian systems are ethically unjustifiable. There is ample evidence to support this, but more importantly, it's common sense. In classist societies such as capitalism, those among the lower rungs experience social stress by virtue of their position. This leads to many psychological and physiological ailments, some of them chronic or even fatal, which would not otherwise exist. Empirical data has also demonstrated that "intelligence" is largely (or even merely) a function of one's socioeconomic status; evidence for this comes from grade school classrooms to adult workers, and more. Most obviously, capitalism is self-evidently exploitative, making it definitionally unethical. Humans have not always associated with one another in classist systems. The advent of non-egalitarian social arrangements emerged about 10,000 years ago. Before that, humans lived peacefully in anarchic, egalitarian bands and enjoyed a higher quality of life, according to anthropological evidence. The advent of classism marked the end of peace and the beginning of widespread human suffering, a problem we struggle with to this day. Not only is classism the biggest blight humanity has ever faced, but it's the fundamental one from which all other societal scourges emerge. As I said, it isn't merely capitalism per se that is the problem, but anti-egalitarianism in general, which has been the undercurrent of all human relations for the past 10,000 years. It is every well-meaning person's duty to do everything possible to reverse this trend as expediently as possible. All opposed to that effort are enemies of humanity and should be dealt with accordingly. © 2015 Anonymous CowardAuthor's Note
