Forgotten PastA Poem by JoeReadsSource: Image from: http://8tracks.com/mrv_ibs/walking-alone-at-nightIt's midnight were stood around the corner from his house he tells me "don't move closer or my mum could see" he holds my hand as i glance into the eyes of the unknown each breath he takes eager to expel words that were too hard to hear i could see this by the way he didn't look at me, the way our eyes didn't meet. "I can't do this anymore" my heart sinks to the pit of my stomach each breath like breathing icicles out of my mouth, cold and sharp like the words he spoke they say you never forget your first love, and that's true but knowing that any second you could fall back in love with them fall back into the forgotten past and start over is it really worth it? it it really the right choice? when i think back, i see nothing i can't remember what or who i was before i met him the reasoning for this isn't that i have forgot, its simply, i was alive.. but i just wasn't living.
