"It's all ok" Would be a LieA Poem by AnsillaIt was the mis-placed note in your voice Revealing what was to come. Things were changed, and in the end We are better off as friends.
It's ok, I totally understand And it actually really means alot, You not playing games. I'm keeping a well-valued friend.
Am I ok? Of course. Don't worry about me, I mean We're still friends, right? Everything's going to be alright.
But when the phone-call ends And you leave me to my thoughts, My self-assurance fades. And I realize I'm standing alone.
Starting like the sting of a bee, It escalates, enveloping my person. I look around and find your jacket, The only bandage for this pain.
With the obscure comfort that only Crying brings, the tears roll hot Down my face, the hurt escapes. But everything's going to be alright.
I'm grasping at your jacket Pulling it tighter around me. The tears come faster, the pain harder. Slowly, rocking insues.
Am I ok? I will be. My mentality changes to comfort myself As I rock myself to sleep, I speak, "We are better off as friends." © 2008 AnsillaReviews
