Life is like a Bird on a Branch

Life is like a bird on a branch

Quivering, back and forth

Trying hard to balance

While acquainting with his feet

Not really sure what led him here

Or what to do from now

So many ways he could have went

But landed there somehow

Life is like a bird on a branch

Settling for a moment's breath

Not knowing when its time to move

But ready, nonetheless

Author's Note

My focus here (Unconsciously) was to try and capture the nature of life, awareness of your current situation, and the motivation to make a change - everybody is somewhere in life, whether they want to be in that situation or not, making decisions and change is tough and we never really know when is the best time to make the leap. Do you wait for the wind to blow hard enough that you can no longer stay on that branch? (external influence) Or do you make the change yourself at your own will? (internal)
