A Poem by Anuolua
"

It's less of a poem and more of a little allegory.

"
I walked. I stopped. I looked. I thought. I felt
I felt that the music had always been nice,
but there was going to be a last time,
the drops of rain glistened as I tried to get a last glimpse,
this was certainly going to be the last time,
reality is now here, I had always wondered when,
I ran till the dusk covered me,
It was never going to be eternal, I knew of course,
The first meeting was great, I remember,
as I tried to raise my voice above the din,
It was so pristine and clear that I can see in retrospect,
those moments of lull when I always wondered when,
wondered when it would all end,
and when the subject of my thoughts were questioned,
I smiled.
I recall the sounds my shoes made as they scraped along the gravel of uncertainty,
The first meeting was a smile, a chord,a tune, a drop,
It was resonance,
and faster the rain drops came,
The hum was just starting to grow into a tune,
we thought it was very nice,
and amidst laughter tried to break the ice,
till I became the only one left,
and my steely reserve grew molten,
for there was much to carry down the cleft,
time has passed now,
and I realize this is going to be eternal,
I'd always take that first bus downtown,
to where the meeting first held.
