Everyone has gone now and it is just you and I

I look down upon your sweet face as you lay nestled sleeping in my arms

My heart is overflowing with such love I can not find the words

You are only hours old but you have forever changed my life

The months of waiting are over you are finally here

The pain of your birth already forgotten as I gaze upon your tiny face

I will never be the same again and I am afraid too

From now on everything I do or will do will revolve around you

You lay there so helpless and trusting ,content for the moment

Will I be a good mother to you , will I be able to take care of you

Will I be able to teach you what you need to know

Will I be able to give you all that you will need

These are the questions running through my mind as I watch you sleep

No matter what happens you will be loved

You are a part of me and always will be nothing will change that
