A love poem ^_^ (... the sappiest poem you will ever find me write.)

From the first moment, I knew it was true

There is no doubt in my mind,

I was made to be with you.

From our first meeting, closer we grew,

as you gave me the love I thought I'd never find.

From the first moment, I knew it was true.

To relationships I was new,

But, you loved me and were kind,

I was made to be with you.

Despite endless troubles, we made it through,

and, to my insanity, you seemed blind.

From the first moment, I knew it was true

It's clear in everything we do,

Our souls are intertwined.

I was made to be with you.

Though I was prim and proper, too,

And you were slightly unrefined,

From the first moment I knew it was true.

I was made to be with you.   

Author's Note

This is a (very very corny) piece written about my boyfriend of three years now, who recently proposed to me. So, this is just a brief villanelle for my fiance ^_^
