The Emigrant's PoemA Poem by QuothTheRavenIt is a poem of an emigrant arriving at Ellis Island alone, surrounded by many strange people.
The movements throughout the world
they chill me. The people I do not know they kill me. The hearing of another tongue it scares me. My foreign outfit it bares me. I see the world in black and gray. I sense the time another day. My perception is blurred I feel hot. I can't say a word for my mouth, it moves not.
