Lightning Bolt

A short poem about a lightning bolt, written when in line at Inn-N-Out. Not random I know. It's far from my favorite, but people seem to like it so.... >.<

 

Oh look!

That surreal shining streak in the sky!

See how it reaches, pining to step upon the forest floor

For more than a second

Or two

 

Oh look!

It is so determined but

Nigh, once again

Its request has been denied.
