Faint Fulfilment

Faint Fulfilment

A Poem by Archishman Rick

The nimble answers that you seek,
Lurk within a baffling hay
stack,
Thin and sharp to evade the weak,
As you contemplate what you lack,
They have amassed a winning streak.

In a gratified reality,
Your may well have obtained your answers,
Transcending triviality,
Safely fulfilled by brave endeavors.

But that gratitude so solemn,
Could not beget nor ensure fairness,
The very vices you condemn,
Sullied that wishful awareness.

A quest with revelation to search for,
Mind bared open and exposed to attack,
To accept what the morrow has in store,
Sacrificed is the great urge to fight back,
To let your target hunt you down before.
