Speak No More

This poem is basically, my logical side, talking to my stupid sensitive side.

Speak no more of pain tonight.

Speak no more of love.

Speak no more of he or she,

or the stars that shine above.

 

Speak no more of time gone by,

or dreams you've lost at sea.

Speak no more of heaven in his eyes,

or the lies you want to believe.

 

Speak no more of a "man" you "trust",

or a love you gave away.

Cry no more,

for I can't bear the awful sound it makes.

 

Speak no more,

you stupid silly girl,

for a boy's not worth the mistake.

 

Speak no more,

guard your beautiful heart,

and no pain will come your way.

Loved it!!.. You have hit home with this one. There is no point in living in the past. We have let go of certain memories. We will have to accept the present as it is ... and hope for a better future. My favorite lines :
