Midnight Run with Fairies

This is a little fantasy poem I wrote for a poetry.com contest many years ago

Through the forest I roam
With the moonlight on my shoulders
This place I call home

The moonlight through the canopy
Sends silver sparkles among the leaves
This simple beauty unleased
Is the worlds best therapy

The sounds of the forest a luring lullaby
The hoot of an owl, the call of a bird
The thumping of rain or the trickle of a stream
All collide into natures best symphony

Ahead of me a twinkling light
The fairy ring full of light
My friends and family call to me
To join them in thier joy

As they dance into the moonlit night
in a celebration of love and life
of hope and joy, spirit and soul
and a thank you to the glorious woods

Oooo now I really like this poem. Normally I'm rather picky about poems in general but I love, LOVE, the descriptions. It literally paints a picture in my mind. Plus I just love the forest. I think you did it justice with this beautiful piece of work! :)

LOVE IT! Uhm just I thought...you use the word moonlight in the 2, then the 4 line, and i find it a bit distracting. You have an amazing style and hope to read more of your work soon(: (please read and review some of mine!)
