Pariah

Pariah

A Poem by Arpeggi

A far cry from his own face, the wry smile

Betokens senses belonging to men

Who glide, with idle power to revile

Such men will scarcely fall victim again

And taking measures to guard spirit, he

Swiftly barricades his delivery

Permitting twelve eyes to further agree

On the contagious nature of his plea’s

Inhibited intimacy maintained,

The flock favors their intestines exposed

Dangling before his eyes what is strained

Keeping conduct firmly superimposed

Ruefully, apologies I extend
Willing, in vain, injury I may mend
