Dog

Dog

A Poem by Arpeggi

Take the lovable look that unintentionally ensnares
And leave its superior senses
Take the keen eyes as one's shield
But blind the peripheral vision
Foster the unwavering welcome
And condemn it's blanketing distance

Yes, call to the hackneyed ears
For they will continue to listen.

I agree with Jon Gary Frost.. and the one thing that drew me to reading this is the title. I have a dog of my own & he is so precious to me! Amazing write here!
Thanks for sharing =-)

unique take on man's best friend.....seemed to be several layers of symbolism under the actual subject. intended or not, there seemed to be a subconscious statement, but I can't quite put my finger on it. guess that could be my subconscious finding meaning.

either way, a great piece.
