Darkness

walking the path of depression

Darkness ahead.
Darkness behind.
Dead, dreadful breaths.

Scary walls, sharp walls, narrow walls.
Sad groping, blind steps, swallowing scraps of courage.
Sliced hands, toxic tears, tired legs, bitter blood.
Soft, exhausted moans. 

Slow pace.

Step.

Step.

Shattered road, sharp road, sickening road.
Stockholm love for involuntary pain.

Where is the light hiding?
When is the end of this tunnel?

Only the valiant keep walking.

Author's Note

Note the use of alliteration, also, when you're in a very long tunnel you can't see the end, only after walking a couple of minutes you see a really small light dot. I got the inspiration while hiking in the Ardennes with my class (we walked through a tunnel like this, scary stuff)
