The whistlers call

The whistlers call

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

The secret journey

"
A whistle heard from mountain top
The whistle has the tone of horrifying silence
Heard deep inside from the Mother’s womb
It’s not love, it’s undefinable
Each rocks I climbed pushes higher and higher
Each thorns pierced oozed blood of sufferings
Body is carried by innocent Skelton without soul
Path is slippery, with deep crevices
Looking on the summit far above
The sun calls to reach beside whistler
It’s hard to push up with horrible wind and coldness
Mind is cruel, a hardcore criminal
Taking the body into extreme hardship
Soul is just an onlooker on the path
Upwards each step life carries
Ocean has the taste of sweat flowing
Stars glow above mighty mountains
Whistler s tone echoed from mountain
Calling the slaves of heaven to climb
Up and up without tiredness
Heaven’s are brighter he thinks
Climbing is suffering he experiences
Skeletons carries the burden without knowing
It’s a dream, dream out of life.
Falling into crevices, turning into dust.
Slipping into life, without knowing, WHY?

Because life is striving and falling, my dearest. It is up one day, reaching summits and breathing in ice and triumph. The next it is tumbling into the crevice, body battered and aching and struggling to rise. When that happens, look up to the heavens. It's the looking upward that keeps us from falling into despair. This poem reminds me of my favorite Bible verse, Psalm 121:1 "I will lift up mine eyes unto these hills, from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Keep climbing, and don't let the falls defeat you!

Oh my - the images presented are so crisp and clean, reading this is like watching a film; the description of the struggles, the calmness of the soul contrasted with the struggle of the mind and body and weariness of the skeleton as they all make their way to the final goal.Well done.

I see this as a spiritual journey on a path littered with pitfalls. The climb is difficult and steep, but the ascent is worth it. Thought provoking piece Arundass. Dream like in its portrayal. Nothing comes easy in life.
