A Song So Lost

A Song So Lost

A Poem by Asante

A song so lost
A song so forgotten
In this word today,it's all gone rotten

But I the keeper of so lost secrets
Will retell the tale a final time
For here comes the reaper

He's been waiting for me
I've eluded him for long time
But now in this day,I've ran out of rhyme

So I impart unto you
My very last words
So my wisdom can be passed down
Through the scores

Song starts with the creation of man
Once so pure
Now so damned

He sat by the stream and took what he needed
Now due to him ,all our forest lines are receded

Where did he ,I mean we go wrong?
Where did the corruption of man begin?
It began when his love of heart was outweighed by lust for sin

Now let me explain what I mean
Adam and Eve
Were comfortable but they were too curious
Now forever more we are cursed to endlessly toil for our own peace of the thesis

Let's jump ahead a few thousand years
When The Great Rome was holding the medditaren only through fear

In the ancient days they call it,things were much easier
Wars were won through grit and grind, gays were justified,Christianity was in its infancy, and the people actually chose what they wanted

But now the people are bullied
The illusion is cast
But like bass the masses take the bait

Now you see this song
Tells of this worlds indiscretions
it's not some mere song that they want forgotten
It incriminates them as actually doing wrong
They even actually outlawed the bong

The reapers want to end me
And wipe their slate clean
But quietly I waited in the darkness
Waiting for my teme

Now my chance has come
No longer will I run
Now I will fight with a final cup of rum
But not through my fists will I fight for I will use my wisdom and words to finally make things right

Siddhartha Buddha is peaceful and has taught me the way
Of patience and the art of delay

But let's continue the song for now you know what it is but you yet to know how the song ends

At first there were direct and obvious
But then they perfected their art becoming more devious

The first new world matrix was justified by a means
They were primitive and savage was said by the queen
Yet they wouldn't have survived on those foreign lands if the natives hadn't took them in
To the foreigner...it looked like an easy win

But they abandoned the first matrix for it was too literal
Now the game has changed for real

It has been redefined as invisible and non-curable
It's been extended to the rich and the raggedy
Oh what a tragedy

I the keeper of Secrets have told the song of those lost for so long

Keep this in mind as I leave this place
The reapers come for my soul for I've outlived their patience
