A Short lived Slow Motion Fast Paced Suspense Thriller

CHIVALRY

All is black
And the gun is seen
Only by the sheen
From light source
Indeterminate
The hammer pulled back
The barrel gleams
A flash of light
All is white
But the bullet
The boy
And target
Still small speck
Races forth
With boy chasing
Grasping after
Fingers catch and cut
And bleed
And lose but reach again
Only
To bleed again
Finally he comes to front
Palms clasped tight
About that bit of metal
And prayers come to mind
Only for her safety
As it slipped thru his hands
And shoulder
He cries out for her lamely
She is still
As the projectile fills
The gap between the two
Till striking her breast
But piercing naught
And falling to the ground
Without another drop of blood
Quenched and still
The deadly pill
Rests to never rise
But the boy
Quivers with fright
For the sound
Of that hammer
Cocked again
