Juneau

I have been in Alaska the past week and have been majorly inspired.

Long have I heard

Of misty mountains’ majesty,

But it never dawned fully

Until I saw her there in Juneau.

 

Jutting up in magnificent grandeur -

Clouds hung around her in adoration,

Kissing her face

As two streams of crystal tears

Trickled down her jade cheeks

In awe of her own splendor.

 

I sighed and breathed in

Her earthy perfume

As I swam in serenity.

i am so jealous ;) Alaska calls to many for sure but she is a siren to me .. very enjoyable personifications start to finish .. i can feel the peace you are breathing deep in ..nice job..thanks for sharing this experience
