Rainy Day RitualA Poem by Ash
The sound of rain fills the house,
the day is dark with gloom. So I wrap the blankets tightly round, and dare not leave the room I boil the water, steep the tea, I pour it in my mug. I grab a novel off the shelf, stretch my feet out on the rug. Curled up with my book and tea, reality fades away The adventure has pulled my completely in, all I want to do is stay. The rustle of the printed page, the blackness of the ink. No better way to spend a rainy day, at least that's what I think.
