Sorrow

this is what sorrow looks like
this is how sorrow feels
it's like a giant rain storm
as if your heart is breaking
and you can't stop from thinking
this is the last blow
but just like every storm
this sorrow will meet it's end
and then you'll realize
that you've won another battle
and that dispite the battle scars
it is all that matters
you live and learn
that's what they say
but soon enough you'll realize
that a life lesson is not always enough
so don't ashamed
if you make that same mistake again

i made the mistake too many times...but like you say in the poem..the storms pass...we find we have withstood them...lived through them...and sooner or later the sun comes out again, and we move on.

i like your style...there is a straight forwardness to it...almost a simplicity, but your words ring of truth...and cause the reader to ponder...

that is good poetry...

Thank you, I just write how I feel and see what comes of it when I'm finished, sometimes it comes across like ranting and I toss it and other times I feel like maybe I connected to my feelings on a deeper level and keep it.
