Blameless and Perfect

I honestly wish and yearn and beg

to see myself like You see me

As blameless and perfect

Someone You would never turn away

Someone You love with and intensely deep

and personal passion

Someone You will always protect

Someone You have a complete plan for

I hear all of these things

Repeatedly, over and over 

So Why do I not listen then?

Why can I not bring myself to believe

what You're saying to me?

I feel as though I haven't been able 

to seek You clearly and completely yet

Simply because of my own mind

and heart

Holding onto the past mistakes of mine

I need Your help

to relieve this pain

and free my soul

to worship You.
