Settle

Settle

A Poem by ashleydawn

A short simple prayer
Before 24 lines
Such a beautiful, personal moment I saw
Was privileged even,
To glimpse
So private I feared I had stumbled upon
it mistakenly
Was I the only one who saw?
Such a deep love for Him
It was contagious
I grasped my stolen treasure
And envisioned its future benefits
Such simple teaching
That had been lying in my lap
Too long for me not to have noticed
You pulled us into your journey
Guided us to this special place
Sharing your knowledge of love
With the One and Only
May I mimic you now?
Reflecting your first words back in the mirror
Settle your soul
I raise my hands to the heavens
Earnestly asking Him
To help you see what I did
