Setting Sail the Scenes

Each poem I write

is a captured moment,

a scene, a promise

Slipped carefully into a bottle

Sealed tight with a cork

And dressed in a ribbon

Each placed on the rickety shelf

for viewing

Soon, as the platform has begun

to sag

I shall have to se free

my ships to their destinies

Softly pushed into the waves

to sail.
