Restless Sleep

Restless Sleep

A Poem by ashleydawn

8:50
We got home from dinner
and two flow easily.
Trying to explain
Presentation ends in anger
Surprised, I never throw things.

9:15
Attempted blockades fall quickly
My fingers itch for the pen
so that my mind won't be burdened
with remembering.

9:37
Still four more come
I only capture starters
So that multiple lines
won't get scrambled in the dark
She was right,
I can't sleep.

9:43
Still more.
