Losing Me

In shadows of fading dawn, I stand alone,

Lost in the echo of a love once known.

Frustration weaves through trembling veins,

A ache, a void silent, unexplainable pains.  

Longing’s whisper, a ghost in the night,

Yearning for warmth that slips from sight.

But love, you drift like a distant star,

Fading fast, unreachable, afar.  

Still, in this ache, a silent plea,

A hope that someday, we might see

What once was, or what could be,

In the hollow's echo, set love free.
