Layla

This is my actual poem about my cat Layla if ya'll have any more ideas please let me know in my first chapter!

Dear Layla, You were a beautiful black tabby with gray stripes,

You were very sweet, and loved me and mom.

I see your yellow eyes, glowing in the house lights 

You were shy, but deeply loved 

You moved in a way where
I knew it was you there
When I was sad 

You would purr

Your paws flicking the air
While there's nothing there
At least I saw nothing
But maybe you did

I miss you and I

Wished I had more time with you

But the memory of you lives on

Something I keep close to heart

Appreciation note to my two friends on here
I truly Appreciate Ashe and Kady R. for helping me with this poem they gave me Ideas and I edited it they are truly amazing friends and are very great poets.
Poem note
Her name was Layla she died of feline leukemia, she was black with gray stripes. She was a tabby, she was SOOOOO sweet she loved me and my mom the most, she had yellow eyes. She was also very shy so when someone came over she hid and she was the oldest and she loved chicken. I just want to honor her for being there when I was sad, sick, and when I had heart breaks she would rub up against me and purr. I miss her soooooo much and I wish I had a couple more years with her. Please let me know in my first chapter for more ideas

Hiii Ash!!! Love the new edits of the poems. I'm so glad we were able to collaborate on this poem. I like how "when I was sad she would purr" it adds such a sentiment to it. Great job Ash!!
