Pounding in my ears

words of betrayal

heartbreak

and loss

of something wonderful

 

Tears threaten

to spill from

my eyes.

As I feel

my heart

ache in my chest

Like a heavy

weight

is holding me

down

binding me

to this pain

this agony

 

I wasn't

good enough

for him

he left me

but not

before saying

that he

had never loved

me.

 

As much as

I want

to hate him

to curse his name

heart

I want him

But I can't
