What good is a gun,

If it puts in jail

The one whom you sought

To protect,

By killing the one

Who assailed you?

 

There is false confidence in fire;

It has no humility

I like this I think it was Ghandi who said I object to violence even if it does good, it is temporary, the evil it does is permanent. Guns very much embody this quote
