Among the Stars

The night had finally dawned.
The mighty sun was gone.
Went away the violent brightness.

The wind was slow, sweet, soft
laden with languid laziness and 
calm silence of the other world.

The night sky was draped in 
a luscious black velvet finely 
sewn with shimmering stars.

I saw you among the stars-
splendidly radiant, yet calm;
compassionate, yet fearless.
