Demon Heart: Chapter Two: Riding Away

Orpheus had to wait, at least until the stallowner was dealing with a costumer. So that he could take a necklace to sell on or something. But he was not one of those thieves who take for greed, he just needed some food, this was Orpheus's everyday life from when he was seven. He had been never caught, that was because his clothes helped him blend into the background, just like the way he wanted.

 

"Come on, hurry up" thought Orpheus, as still no-one had gone up to the stallowner. Then finally someone did, relived at this Orpheus had to move quick he did not know how long this distraction would be, then as soon as he grabbed a gold necklace, the costumer screamed "THIEF!!!!"

"Oh, God" thought Orpheus, and then dropped the necklace, everyone stared, they were all frozen in their position, then the stallowner grabbed a knife and began to run up to Orpheus. So of course he ran as fast as he could go, which was very fast. As he looked behind him, everyone was running behind him, screaming "Thief!!!", then as he looked in front of him again a wall of police officers were in his way...

 

So then Orpheus jumped over the human wall, he would have made it to, if some speedy cop hadn't grabbed his ankle, Orpheus came tumbling down, and the policeman aswell, then when he was on the ground and surrounded, he head of the police came and spoke "Well, is this a new fashion or something?, look at his fringe! we need to arrange a barbers appointment with you boy." he smiled smugly, then he grabbed his fringe, everyone saw then saw this demon markings... the officer backed off he then screamed "DEMON!!!!", then everyone there got out their swords or knifes etc. Incase you did not know the heart of a demon was preicous, anyone who ate the heart of a demon, would then instantly gain their powers for the rest of their life.

 

Suddenly Orpheus punched his way out of the circle, as he was running he thought "Great, first, I'm wanted for stealing, then they find out I'm a demon, then I attack people!, I am wanted for sure now!", Orpheus ran though all of the small alleyways, he looked back, "Good, no-one there". But then the head officer was there.

"Hello, Demon" he said pressing Orpheus against the wall,

"Hmmm, should I kill you first then take the heart, or shall I just rip it out of you right now?"

"I'm not fan of either of them sir."

The officers Blade was next to Orpheus's neck.

"Any last words Demon?"

"Yes, can you take a step back please?"

"Very Well...urk!"

The officer collapsed, with Orpheus's Sword in his back.

  "Hmm...very cunning but you shall never be loved, Demon" The Officer took his final breath then died.

 

Orpheus pulled his sword from out of his back and wiped off the blood, he heard more shouting coming his way Orpheus sped off, whne he had left he heard people screaming and people saying stuff like "I bet it was that Demon!", "Yes he must'nt be too far from here!". Orpheus sped around to the stables, where he was looking at horses, then he saw the most beautiful horse he was all black, tall and proud. Orpheus hopped on his back, and sped out of the streets and out of the town.

"Hmmm...I want to called you "Ramfaxi", is that all right?". The horse nodded. "You understand me!", the horse nodded again. "My only problem is where do I go now?" thought Orpheus...
